In a bold show of loyalty, Judy Austin has openly defended her husband Yul Edochie amid a tense public rift involving veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo and Yul’s brother, Linc Edochie.

Judy’s support comes after a series of exchanges that have stirred both Nollywood circles and fans alike.

Posting a heartfelt video, Judy who happens to be the second wife of Yul showered him with praise, describing him as a “great man” who, in her words, faces envy and unfair criticism.

She went on to pray for his protection, declaring that any negative intentions against him would backfire on those who wished him harm.

The conflict began when Kanayo hosted Linc Edochie on a podcast, where they discussed Yul’s controversial marriage to Judy—a subject that has attracted intense public scrutiny.

Linc’s comments during the interview seemed to touch a nerve, prompting Yul to lash out at both his brother and Kanayo in a public outburst. Shortly afterwards, Kanayo unfollowed Yul on Instagram, signalling a clear break in their relationship.

Yul’s personal life has been a subject of intense public interest since he revealed his marriage to Judy Austin in 2022, a decision that significantly altered his image as a devoted family man.

Yul’s marriage to Judy, following his long-term union with his first wife, May Edochie, and their children, created divisions among fans and colleagues, drawing criticism from some and support from others.
