‘Tonga’ hitmaker Joey B has communicated to his fans through a new interview that he will no longer be producing albums.
He attributes this decision to a perceived lack of appreciation for such musical endeavours in Ghana.
In a TikTok interview, the rapper and singer expressed his reluctance to invest time and resources into album production, stating that fans tend to favour singles over full-length projects.
He noted that an album typically garners attention for only a day or two post-release before being overlooked.
This rapid decline in interest, he argued, undermines his motivation to create an album. Joey B lamented that this unfortunate trend is not unique to him; other prominent artists, including Sarkodie and Shatta Wale, face similar challenges.
