Seasoned Ghanaian gospel musician and former Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) Artiste of the Year winner Joe Mettle has highlighted the merits of social media after he revealed how he met his wife.
Joe Mettle revealed some fascinating information about his life on Wednesday’s episode of Joy Prime’s entertainment program, Prime Morning, spanning from his youth to his current situation as a father of one.
The singer claims that when he first encountered his wife Salomey Selassie Dzisa, he just knew intuitively that she was the one and watched her from afar before letting her know his intentions.
Mettle added that he first connected with Sellassie online while perusing his social media account. When he saw her again at one of his events, his emotions compelled him to act, but he refrained.
However, when Dzisa once commented on one of her posts, he gathered courage and made the move and the rest they say is history.
Joe Mettle married Dzisa on August 13, 2020, and photos from the event dominated social media, Tru News Report recalls.
In his own words;
You know this social media thing it has helped. Who really reached out first? I think she reached out first, and this was when I said I had seen the person, and in my spirit, I thought it was the person. We’ve never met, we’ve never spoken, so she doesn’t even know I know her or anything. There was one of the events she came to, and after the event, she just said God bless you. That was it.
