In a video sighted by GhanaStreetJournal on X, Jamaican artist Shawn Storm, a close associate of Vybz Kartel, extended heartfelt greetings to Shatta Wale during an interview.
Storm, who is preparing for an upcoming concert later this year, was interviewed to discuss the event and other potential surprise acts that may join him.
Throughout the conversation, he highlighted his fanbase that spans across Africa, mentioning his supporters in Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, and various other regions of the continent.
Additionally, he gave a significant shoutout to Shatta Wale, acknowledging his prominent musical influence across Africa.
Shawn is a recording artist and producer specializing in Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall music.
Born in the Jungle community in southern Kingston, Jamaica, Shawn later relocated to Waterford in Portmore, situated in St. Catherine parish. In 2007, he was introduced to the music industry by Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer.
Shawn achieved his first major success in 2008 with the hit single “Ghetto Yutes Be Wise,” which was featured on the Remand Riddim and produced by Adidjahiem Records.
This track marked the beginning of his rise to fame across the island. Other notable songs include “Evil People Dem,” produced by Jam 2 Records, “Mean It or Not,” produced by Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor, and “Matie f***,” produced by Adidjahiem/Notnice Records, all of which contributed significantly to his career advancement.
