In the euphoria surrounding Ivory Coast beating Senegal in the round of 16 of the ongoing African Cup of Nations, a man was captured busily toasting lady.
The incident has since gone viral on social media, with several users generating memes from the video and speculating on what the man could have been telling the lady who seemed uncomfortable with his advances.
However according to Actu Foot Afrique, the man identified as Anselme Santos has spoken has addressed the incident.
According to him, while he didn’t intend to be mean, he was requesting the lady’s number, which she flatly refused.
The viral man according to the report has gone ahead to apologise to his wife and children for his indiscretion.

“In the euphoria, I told [the woman in the video] ‘give me your number’. It wasn’t mean, but she didn’t want to. So I didn’t insist. I would like to take this chance to apologise to my wife and my children,” he is quoted as saying.
