Amid ongoing online criticism and gossip, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has addressed the rumour mill, tackling what he describes as continuous lies spread to tarnish his reputation.
Edochie has faced increased scrutiny from the public following his controversial decisions, including his highly publicized second marriage to actress Judy Austin.
Since then, the actor has found himself regularly targeted by online trolls, with narratives crafted around him that he argues are not only untrue but intended to stir public sentiment against him.

Edochie took to social media to share his frustrations, pointing out that many of these tales aim to manipulate public sympathy or boost the “market” value of those spreading them.
Sarcastically, he predicted that the rumours might soon escalate absurdly, with some perhaps claiming he’s “a 40-second man”—a tongue-in-cheek remark on how far he believes people will go for attention at his expense.
In his post, Edochie stated, “No lie wey dem never talk for my head just to draw pity and sell market. Dem go soon talk say I be 40 seconds man.”
His tone reflects both frustration and bemusement, as he challenges the lengths to which some individuals will go for attention or to gain an edge in the competitive Nollywood industry.
This isn’t the first time Edochie has openly responded to criticism. In the wake of his second marriage, he has frequently engaged with fans and detractors alike, sometimes humorously, other times more seriously, addressing various stories and accusations.
