In a recent interview, Jupitar, the Ghanaian Dancehall/Reggae artiste, opened up about how he manages his time between his marriage and his music career and we must admit his perspective on this topic is truly captivating.
During his appearance on the Uncut with D-Black show, Jupitar described the demanding nature of the music industry as “suicidal” when it comes to establishing a family.
Despite this daunting challenge, he strives to find a fair balance between his personal and professional life.
Jupitar emphasized the ongoing struggle of harmonizing his music career with his family responsibilities, acknowledging the need for sacrifices to navigate both realms successfully.
“Even aside maturity stuff, music itself is a whole business. It’s very tough combining music and family. It’s be one tough decision for a musician to say, I’m settling down and then also pursuing this music. It’s suicidal, I won’t lie,” he said.
“ I try as much as possible to sometimes violate the process. Even if I will come home at ten, I will come home the next morning. I won’t do it often. The balance is quite difficult,” he added.
Maame Afia Nyametease Ampadu is the wife of Jupitar. They tied the knot in a modest traditional wedding ceremony held in Koforidua in 2019.
Interestingly, Maame is believed to be the cousin of renowned radio and TV personality, Abeiku Santana. Surprisingly, Abeiku was unaware of the connection between his “sister” and the musician until the day of the wedding.
Numerous photos from the wedding, which were shared online, captured Abeiku beaming with joy and excitement alongside the couple.
