It’s Her Choice- Movie Director Blasts Lilwin Over Martha Ankomah’s Tirade

Sammy Rasta, a movie director, has criticized Lilwin for his recent outburst towards Martha Ankomah. He defended Martha’s decision not to associate herself with Kumawood due to the alleged poor quality of their storylines and movie plots.

Sammy Rasta condemned Lilwin’s disrespectful comments and emphasized that Lilwin should show more respect towards others, especially someone as accomplished as Martha Ankomah.

Sammy mentioned that Martha had been acting, including in Kumawood, years ago, before Lilwin even began his acting career. He believes that criticizing Martha is unnecessary and points out that she is earning a living as an ambassador for GTP, which is a direct rebuttal to Lilwin’s criticism of Martha’s ambassadorial position.

“Martha has not done anything wrong, it’s her choice. Kwadwo Nkansah, Martha Ankomah is your senior in the industry. When I started shooting movies in Kumasi with Martha Ankomah, LilWin was nobody by then. So you cannot call her all kinds of names.

“When did you become a star? Do you know the amount of money GTP pays her? He should apologize to Martha Ankomah and all actresses,” Sammy said on Power FM.

Backstory

Lilwin recently recorded a video of himself expressing his anger towards actress Martha Ankomah. The reason behind his frustration was Martha’s alleged derogatory comments about Kumawood movies.

It is reported that Martha Ankomah declined an offer to be a part of a Kumawood project, stating that their storylines were terrible and their productions were inferior.

Lilwin, who is often seen as the face of Kumawood, strongly criticized Martha Ankomah for her remarks. He believed that instead of using foul language, Martha Ankomah could have simply declined the offer or asked for an exorbitant fee that would make it impossible for the producer to afford her.

In a heated tone, Lilwin expressed his disappointment, stating that Martha Ankomah had lost her relevance and was only making such comments to stay in the limelight.

He reminded her that A-list actresses like Van Vicker and Yvonne Nelson had previously worked in Kumawood, emphasizing that Martha was nobody compared to them.
