During a recent interview on Hitz FM, Kuame Eugene discussed his potential fee for providing songwriting services to former VGMAs Artiste of the Year winner, Joe Mettle.

The renowned singer recognized Mettle’s significant influence within the gospel music community and stated that he would need to charge him a substantial amount for his services.

Additionally, Eugene expressed his admiration for Mettle’s talent and acknowledged that he would need to put in extra effort to ensure that any song he writes for him is a hit.

“If I am writing for Joe Mettle, that’s a difficult task so it needs to come with a huge amount of money. It’s difficult, he’s already established, which means his fans will be expecting something top-notch, it means I have to go deep down, assess certain things, and put the perfect lyrics together, I need to pray to God and say this is a Joe Mettle project oo, don’t put me to shame,” he stated.

Kuame Eugene, who gained prominence through the MTN Hitmaker platform, recently expressed his disappointment with the outcome of the 2016 edition of the music reality show.

During a recent TV3 XSpaces conversation, the multiple award-winning artiste subtly criticized judges Eazzy and Okyeame Kwame for what he perceived as a conspiracy to prevent him from winning the ultimate crown.

Despite finishing as the 2nd runner-up, Kuami Eugene believed that he had all the qualities to be the winner and expressed his disappointment with himself for not securing the top position.

He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the event’s organizers, Charterhouse. The self-styled Rockstar emphasized his dedicated efforts in refining his stage performances, viewing it as a significant investment in the competition.

“I was so mad, I wasn’t happy with just myself. I was mad at everyone – CharterHouse, the Judges, Okyeame Kwame, Eazzy, and everyone. I felt I did my best. I did everything. I performed and sang well. I felt I’d done so much to deserve the first place. They didn’t even give me a second place. I wasn’t so happy about the result. I felt I was unfairly treated in a way.”

Kuami Eugene made a notable appearance in the 5th season of Hitmaker in 2016, where he achieved the commendable position of 2nd runner-up. The show was won by Kevin, while F9 placed second.
