Singer Nero X has indicated that he understands the risks associated with engaging in politics in our part of the world, particularly by associating himself with the opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He believes that openly supporting John Dramani Mahama ahead of the 2024 elections will not end his music career.
The Takoradi-based artiste, recognized for a few hit songs, pointed out that actor Mr Beautiful proves that aligning with the NDC does not necessarily lead to the downfall of one’s career, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.
Making his point on Proerty FM, Nero X said; “So after Mr. Beautiful was sabotaged and his career died for supporting NDC and Mahama is he dead or he’s still alive?
“Mr. Beautiful is even okay and living his life more than most of the people who planned to kill his career for throwing his support behind Mahama.
“So it answers it because the mind of humans cannot be the mind of God and the time I supported the other side I didn’t have such criticisms.
“Everyone has got their destiny so if someone did it and it didn’t end the person well maybe the person didn’t do it with good intentions,” he disclosed.
“If I support Mahama now and he comes and things don’t go well, I’ll move to support someone else and have the right to support whoever I want so nobody should take it personal”. He urged.
