In 2018, Stonebwoy was living the dream, performing at the globally recognized Jamaica Sumfest. But while the stage was filled with music and excitement, things were far from harmonious behind the scenes.
A recent revelation by DJ Slim, a popular media personality and close associate of Stonebwoy, has shed light on the alleged fallout between the artist and his then-manager, Blakk Cedi.

According to DJ Slim, tensions between the two escalated during a key meeting before Stonebwoy’s performance, and what followed was shocking.
DJ Slim opened up about the incident on his Street is Watching podcast, claiming that the first signs of trouble emerged when Blakk Cedi was reportedly involved in the rehearsal sessions with other performers before Stonebwoy even arrived.
“When Stonebwoy later joined the meeting, he disagreed with certain things, and that’s when Blakk Cedi’s attitude changed dramatically,” DJ Slim explained.
According to Slim, what started as a professional disagreement quickly turned physical. “Things turned physical between Blakk Cedi and Stonebwoy.
He held Stonebwoy’s neck and strangled him,” he claimed. The alleged confrontation left many shocked, considering the strong bond the two had shared over the years.

This moment of alleged tension is thought to be one of the key turning points in their relationship, which would eventually end in 2019 when Blakk Cedi officially parted ways with Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group.
While the details of their split had been a subject of much speculation, this revelation adds a layer of complexity to the situation.
