In a recent interview on Property FM, Kuami Eugene shared his thoughts on his decision to leave Lynx Entertainment after eight successful years.
“I’ve been Richie for eight years, and he has allowed me to start something with him being the godfather of everything,” he said.
Kuami Eugene expressed his gratitude for the invaluable lessons he learned during his time at the label, including production skills and business acumen.
Despite his success, Kuami Eugene is determined to be the first Lynx artist to leave the label without being seen as a failure. “Thankfully, I’m trying to be the first Lynx artiste that will part ways with the label and won’t have everybody saying he is lost.”
“So I’m still under his wings, and he’s teaching me,” he revealed.

Kuami Eugene’s decision comes at a time when several other Lynx Entertainment artistes have struggled to replicate their success after leaving the label.
Notable names like Asem, OJ Blaq, Irene Logan, Feli Nuna, and Zigi have faced challenges in maintaining their careers independently.
Richie Mensah, the CEO of Lynx Entertainment, has previously highlighted the difficulties artists face when they leave the label, citing the lack of professional support and structures.
Despite these challenges, Kuami Eugene remains optimistic about his future. He has launched his own record label, Rockstar Records, with Richie’s guidance, aiming to set a positive precedent for other artists.
“I’ve learnt so much, I’ve been in the studio with Richie producing, so I’ve learnt the production skills and he knows so much about this business. This showbiz business, he’s made so many people,” he added
