Zubby Michael has asserted that he is the biggest actor in Africa during a conversation with TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on the show Ebuka Turns Up Africa, set to debut on March 1, 2024.
This declaration follows Timini Egbuson’s claim of being the top actor from Africa. Zubby confidently countered Timini by stating that he was wealthy enough to purchase his fellow actor.
During the discussion with Ebuka, Zubby boldly made this statement, prompting Timini to question his superiority.
In a direct response to him, Michael said he could buy the Nollywood lover boy. “I am the biggest actor in Africa. I can buy Timini,” he said.
Zubby is widely recognized for his notable performances in Three Windows, Royal Storm, and Professional Lady.
Although he made his debut in the film Missing Rib, it was his portrayal of the lead character in The Three Widows that truly established his reputation.
Born in Anambra State, Zubby pursued his education at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, where he successfully obtained a degree in mass communication. His passion for acting ignited at a young age in Yola.
While Missing Rib marked his initial foray into the world of movies, it was his remarkable lead role in The Three Windows that propelled him to fame. Zubby’s talent has graced numerous other films as well.
In a significant development, on November 25, 2019, he was appointed as the special adviser on media to the Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano.
Furthermore, Zubby received a certificate of recognition for his invaluable contribution to the youth empowerment initiative of City Radio 89.7 FM in Anambra State.
