An emotional Funny Face has told Kofi Adoma Nwanwani in an exclusive interview that he is fully accountable for the current events in his life.
The Ghanaian comedian has been facing a series of unfortunate incidents recently, culminating in a tragic accident in Kasoa where he knocked down a woman, her child, and two men on a motorbike. The accident victims were reported to be in critical condition upon being taken to the police.
Funny Face explained that he accidentally collided with a woman who was not only carrying her elderly grandchild but also holding the hands of another child. He attributed the accident to the presence of motorcyclists, as he was trying to avoid hitting them.
Subsequently, Funny Face was arrested and held in custody for several days after his initial court appearance. Following his release, a video of him, originally shared by Kofi TV, showed him at the beach performing a traditional cleansing ritual to rid himself of bad luck.
During an interview, he acknowledged that Ghanaians may be tired of him and his troubles, expressing remorse and seeking forgiveness.
He expressed a desire for a second chance to regain the public’s affection and restore his standing in society.
Funny Face mentioned that he was en route to Kingdom Hall to worship with Jehovah’s Witnesses members for the first time in many years when the accident occurred.
“Whatever I am going through now is a result of my bad choices. I agree that evil forces can fashion against people but with this one, I won’t blame evil forces, I will blame myself for the challenges I’m facing.
I’m the major factor of my problem, I’m the major cause of my problems and in all, I take full responsibility for my actions and inactions.
I have caused all these and I’m begging the people of Ghana to forgive me,” he told Kofi TV.
