I’m Not in Politics for Money – Christian Awuni Stands Firm in Support of NDC

Kumasi-based actress Christiana Awuni has addressed allegations that she accepted money to campaign for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), firmly stating, “People say I have taken money to campaign for the NDC, but that’s not true.”

Awuni went on to explain her position in the political landscape, asserting, “If I am greedy and want to enjoy politics money, I would rather opt for NPP because they are the ones handling the state’s money currently. But because I’m not greedy, I will not campaign for NPP like some of my colleagues.”

Awuni expressed her desire for former President John Mahama to focus on crucial issues such as health, education, and employment.

Critiquing the current administration under Akufo-Addo, she remarked, “Akufo-Addo’s government is a mess,” highlighting problems such as polluted water and frequent electricity interruptions that have affected Ghanaians.

The Kumasi-based thespian has always believed the NDC is better positioned to handle these pressing challenges, and she feels that their policies align more closely with the needs of the people.

Her support is rooted in her commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians rather than seeking personal gain.

Similarly, Christiana Awuni was in the news recently when she strongly criticized Nana Akufo-Addo’s leadership, labeling it as one of the worst in history marked by severe hardships.

During an interview with Aggressive Show host and actor Kwaku Manu, the actress expressed her belief that the president does not even believe in himself, leading to mismanagement of the country and unfulfilled promises.

When asked by Kwaku Manu if she could identify any positive contributions made by the president, she stated that she has yet to see any significant impact.

In her opinion, the only leader who truly made a difference in Ghana is former president John Dramani Mahama, despite claims by the NPP and their supporters that he did not contribute positively to the nation.
