Bolgatanga Central MP, Isaac Adongo, has addressed speculations about his absence from the list of Deputy Ministerial appointments, making it clear that he never turned down any offer.
“When it came to the Deputies, part of the reason was also that there were elements who were advising the old man who believed that I’m above a Deputy Minister.
“That is not coming from me, and under no circumstance will I reject a Deputy Minister appointment. If it was offered to me, and that is the capacity the old man wanted me to serve, I would have accepted,” Adongo stated.

His comments counter claims that he saw himself as too senior for the position. He emphasized that any appointment by the President is a privilege.
“If His Excellency calls upon you to serve in any capacity, it is a privilege that I will gladly accept, but under the circumstances, he would have felt that he wants to use me in another way.
“Maybe there is a timing gap, people expect that by now your name would have been somewhere and it hasn’t happened, it doesn’t mean that is the end of the story,” he added.
