Shatta Wale, the self-proclaimed dancehall king, arrived in Ghana from Kingston, Jamaica, after his stellar performance at the Freedom Street concert, where he shared the stage with Vybz Kartel and other top Jamaican artists.
The concert, which showcased international talent, also saw Shatta Wale making history as the only African artist to perform at the event.

But upon his return, he had more than just music on his mind—he was ready to speak his truth and shift the narrative within Ghana’s entertainment industry.
In an interview with reporters shortly after touching down, Shatta Wale made a bold statement, affirming his commitment to building the industry and promoting unity.
“Unless you are a jealous person, you would want to fight others.
But I won’t fight anyone this year because I’m not a fighter like Nelson Azumah.
I’m here to speak the truth and focus on building the industry so that everyone can benefit,” he said, putting to rest the long-standing rumours of tension and rivalry in the music scene.
