Ghanaian singer Lord Paper, known for his unique sound and bold artistry, has raised alarming concerns regarding his past experiences with his former record label, Auzy Media.
In a series of Instagram posts, the singer accused the label’s management of exploiting him and tarnishing his brand, claiming they were “bloodsuckers” who robbed him of his hard-earned success.
His candid words have sparked a conversation about how artists can sometimes feel mistreated by those meant to elevate their careers.
In the Instagram post, Lord Paper did not hold back in expressing his frustration. “You guys should be careful who you work with, bloodsuckers.
“Are you not tired of robbing me? Then you threaten me as if my death would improve your life. I’m fed up. Nana, I won’t spill anything more, greedy man,” he wrote, alluding to the tense relationship between him and the record label boss.
Lord Paper’s grievances didn’t end there. He further lamented how the label took credit for his work despite his personal efforts and investments in his career.
“Everyone run because you weren’t doing anything, you sign them to waste their time and talents, and other backstabbing moves an adult shouldn’t do! I used my own money to push myself and gave you credit, you still don’t appreciate.”

His statements suggest that the label might not have been managing his brand effectively. “You see they don’t even mention the name of Lord Paper’s manager because it is not good for the brand,” the singer pointed out, highlighting poor management as a factor in his discontent.
Interestingly, Lord Paper isn’t the only artist to have aired grievances about industry exploitation.
In a leaked voice recording circulating online, purportedly of rapper Medikal, he seems to echo similar frustrations, criticizing those in the music industry for tarnishing artists’ brands. “Tell your manager that he is tarnishing the brand we worked hard for,” the voice says, revealing how common it might be for artists to face internal struggles with management teams.
Lord Paper’s breakout hit “Awurama” set the stage for his career, though it initially came with its fair share of controversy due to its suggestive content.
However, he managed to rebrand himself with a more refined and socially conscious approach, winning over a broader audience with hits like “Dzigbordi” and “Asabone.”
