Efia Odo has announced her return to Christianity on Twitter, formerly X, explaining the reasons behind her previous detachment from God and her new dedication to serving Him more faithfully.
The discussion ignited when she challenged ladies taking part in the latest Kiki Challenge.
Most netizens were taken aback by her decision to stand up for the church and the Christian community, especially since she’s not usually viewed as a Christian due to her fashion choices and various scandals on the internet.
At this moment, Efia opened up about her religious background, revealing that she grew up in a Christian household.
She shared that her faith in Jesus has been unwavering all her life, yet she began to notice some inconsistencies within the church, prompting her to look for a deeper understanding of her faith to serve God more effectively.
Yet, after a period of searching, she found herself feeling void without Jesus and has since completely dedicated her life to him once more.
This is the reason she firmly opposed the current Kiki Challenge.
Taking to her X platform, Efia wrote;
“I was born in a Christian home, I worshipped Jesus all my life. Yes at one point I wanted to find God on my own and ran away from the church, I felt empty when I stopped worshipping Christ. Now I’m back in Christ and no one can tell me otherwise. If you think I’m brainwashed then let me be, I don’t need to be saved.”
The Kiki challenge involves ladies posing as church attendees or pretending to pray, only to transition into provocative outfits and dance moves.
Originally centred around the song In My Feelings by Drake, the challenge has now taken on different forms, including imitating religious figures and settings.
