Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Salma Mumin has addressed misconceptions about her sense of style and her career, emphasizing that her fashion choices are deeply tied to her work in the fashion industry.
The ‘Away Bus’ actress clarified that her passion for looking good is not about projecting a certain image but about her commitment to her craft in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM,
“I just love to look good, that’s all,” Salma explained during the interview. “I just love to look good while doing what I do best—working hard.”

Known for her impeccable style and frequent appearances in stunning outfits, Salma revealed that her work in fashion often leads to people misjudging her intentions.
“My work is about clothing—wearing them, modelling, and looking good,” she noted. “People mistook my job for being a slay queen because I was fashionably dressed up all the time.”
Salma’s career has not only seen her excel as an actress but also as a businesswoman with her clothing line. Her focus, she said, is on creating a personal brand that aligns with her entrepreneurial goals.
“I want people to buy my clothing as they perceive me as the fashionista that I am,” she added, reinforcing how her style is an extension of her business vision.
She further explained how her lifestyle differs from what some assume.
“If I were a banker, I am not sure I would wear five different clothes within a week and take pictures,” she said with a laugh, pointing out that her fashion-forward image is a deliberate part of her career in the creative industry.
