Abdul Razak Issahaku, known in the music world as Iwan Suhyini, has clarified that while he plans to travel abroad, his heart will always belong to Ghana.
In a recent interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, the reggae-dancehall artist shared his thoughts on the allure of living overseas and why he would never leave Ghana for good despite having the opportunity to do so.

“The visa will be ready soon, but I won’t travel and stay abroad permanently because I love Ghana too much,” Iwan began, expressing his deep attachment to his homeland.
“It’s nice staying here more than any other country.” His statement reflects the growing sentiment among many Ghanaians who, though grappling with economic hardships, find a profound sense of identity and belonging in their native country.
Iwan didn’t sugarcoat the challenges of living in Ghana. He acknowledged the struggles, but for him, it is still home.
“The way people complain about the hardships in Ghana, even though we’re struggling, this is where we come from,” he said, sharing a perspective that resonates with many who, despite the difficulties, remain rooted in the country they grew up in.

Drawing from his personal experience, Iwan compared life in Ghana to his time abroad, specifically in the UK. “When I was in the UK some years ago, it wasn’t as difficult as Ghana,” he admitted.
“In terms of the flex, staying abroad is there—but the food, weather, and culture are different.”
