Celebrated Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy has strongly criticized Ike Otoo Arhin, known in the industry as Gomski, for making what he called “irresponsible” remarks about dancehall music.
During an interview on the Big Conversation segment on 3Music TV, Stonebwoy passionately defended the genre, his craft, and his contributions to Ghanaian music.
Stonebwoy began by addressing Gomski directly, expressing disappointment in his comments. “That is an irresponsible talk from him.
Mugeez is his artiste, and we all know how big and well-respected he is in the Ghana music industry,” he said, referring to Gomski’s association with R2Bees. “So, that statement from Gomski—I think if he retracts his words, it would do well for us as an industry.”

The Nominate hitmaker used the opportunity to highlight his dedication to representing Ghana on the global stage, especially in Ivory Coast, where he recently performed.
“I just came back from Ivory Coast. I went to perform over there, and any stage you will see me on, I try to put Ghana on the map. I put my heart into it,” he said.
Stonebwoy further emphasized the importance of dancehall to the cultural fabric of Ghanaian music. “Dancehall is the best thing that could have happened to Ghana music,” he asserted.
“This is the music of Black origin. I studied this in school, and I have invested money into my craft. So, I would not allow someone who has not invested a penny to talk foul about dancehall music.”
