Kurl Songx was interviewed on Property FM, where he reminisced about the late Ebony.
During his conversation with interviewer Anmansan Krakye, he expressed a heartfelt desire for the former Rufftown Records artist to still be alive so they could share the stage performing their popular song ‘Feelings.’
He mentioned that every time he listens to their collaboration, he longs for her presence, but ultimately, he wishes her soul eternal peace, trusting that God knows what is best.
“Anytime I listen to my song Feelings which I did with Ebony, I always wish that she was here with me but may her soul rest in peace because God knows best,” he consoled himself.
“I know she is in a happy place just that I’m happy to have recorded a song with Ebony and I’m glad to have gotten the opportunity to work with a great person like her.
“I wished she would be around for us to perform the Feelings song together but the unthinkable has happened already and there’s nothing we could do about it,” he stated.
Ebony died in an accident on February 8, 2018, while travelling from Sunyani to Accra after visiting her mother.
Her vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a bus on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway.
She passed away just eight days shy of her 21st birthday and a day before her planned music tour in Europe.
The accident also claimed the lives of her assistant and close friend, Franklina Yaa Nkansah Kuri, as well as soldier Atsu Vondee.
The sole survivor of the incident was the driver, Okoh Pinehas Chartey, who is from Teshie.
