Efia Odo has stated that her vigorous activism and anti-corruption efforts against the current government have garnered her recognition from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
As a result, the Ghanaian actress revealed that the NDC reached out to her with an invitation to join their ranks and intensify criticism of the Nana Akufo-Addo administration.
However, she turned down the proposal, emphasizing that her actions were driven by a sense of patriotism rather than political affiliation.
She described herself as a bold person expressing the truth while navigating the political landscape. Efia Odo shared these insights in the upcoming podcast titled Rants, Bants and Confessions.
Her words; “That’s also one of the reasons why I stopped. Allegedly, some of the people that were in the group were NPP people and they were taking information from the group and giving it to the NPP people.
“Some people from the group were also getting paid by the NDC. That is why one NDC person called me and wanted to have dinner with me on how I can basically direct this energy to NDC.
“How when NDC comes they can promise me this, they can do this for me. The thing became too political and I was just a bad bitch speaking the truth and shed light on the problems we have,” she said.
