Nigerian singer Skales has publicly voiced his frustration over persistent trolling from fans of Afrobeat superstar Wizkid.
In a fiery post on X (formerly Twitter), Skales bared his emotions, addressing the unrelenting online harassment he claims to have endured for years.
“Now if I vex start to dey rant, them go say na me dey look for trouble. I’m human. How do you want me to ignore this, and for how long?”
Skales wrote, clearly exasperated. “You can love your Wiz and let me be. I don’t want anything from him. I love my life and pace, and I’m doing amazing.”

This isn’t the first time Skales has had a public run-in with Wizkid or his fanbase.
The two artists were once labelmates under EME Records, and while their careers took different trajectories, occasional friction between them has kept fans speculating about the state of their relationship.
In his post, Skales hinted at a deeper grievance, suggesting that Wizkid might be aware of or even encouraging the trolling.
“To think that he has seen this and enjoys it and probably bankrolls these people… No wahala! I can only keep my cool for some time. Make I push my show first,” he wrote, underscoring his determination to focus on his career despite the distractions.
While the singer emphasized his preference for peace, he didn’t shy away from issuing a stern warning.
“I want peace, but war is an option too,” he concluded, leaving fans and observers speculating about what might come next.
