Okyeame Kwame and his wife Annica Nsiah-Apau were in the Kingdom FM studios reminiscing about how they first met. Annica shared that she was job hunting when she encountered the rapper on his way to a radio interview at Luv FM.
She mentioned that Okyeame Kwame instantly fell in love with her and proposed soon after.
After the interview, Annica said Okyeame Kwame gave her a ride home where she was introduced to her father, who is now his friend.
Kwame then added that Annica’s father asked him a series of questions to determine if he would be a positive influence on his daughter.
In his words, when Annica’s father asked him about his profession, Okyeame Kwame mentioned he was a musician, specifically a rapper, which led to more inquiries.
He also mentioned that he used to have locks adorned with jelly cream due to his rapper image.
Annica’s father hinted that if that was the kind of hairstyle he intended to bring to their home, he should consider making a change, prompting Okyeame Kwame to eventually get rid of the locks.
On Tuesday, January 16 2024, the couple commemorated their 15th wedding anniversary on social media.
Kwame and his wife expressed their heartfelt admiration and gratitude towards one another for the remarkable progress they have achieved in their relationship.
The rapper penned;
Out of all the experiences I have enjoyed and endured in my long life, falling in love with you is the most beautiful, heartwarming, mushy, comfortable and friendly experience I have ever had. 15 years of honest friendship with a person who is not afraid to tell me my breath stinks.
15 years of marriage with my best friend who can tell me you are being a jerk. 15 years of romance, up up up up and a few downs. 15 years of feeling fortunate “lucky” and favoured because we chose each other.
It is my wish that everyone in his or her adult life can fall in love with someone like you. It is an honour for me to be doing this love, friend and marriage thing with you my queen. I love you selfishly because I love me more when I am with you.
On her part, Mrs Nsiah-Apau noted she is also thankful to have the rapper as her husband.
