Evangelist Diana Asamoah has opened up about her transformation in beliefs and how it has impacted her perspective on Christianity.
In a televised interview on Sompa TV monitored by Tru News Report, she revealed that she had held onto certain dogmas for many years, but after gaining a deeper understanding, she decided to let go of them.
One of the doctrines that she mentioned was the belief that it was unholy to spend a night in a hotel. However, Diana Asamoah shared that she had changed her stance on this matter and had actually been staying in hotels during her business or personal trips.
She even mentioned that she would engage in fasting prayers while staying in these hotels, emphasizing that prayers said in such places hold even more power.
Diana Asamoah acknowledged that these ingrained doctrines had held her back in her Christian life.
She previously expressed on JoyPrime that she was brainwashed by pastors she encountered early on, who taught her misleading beliefs such as the prohibition of wearing wigs and makeup.
According to her, these teachings had also influenced her aversion to anything related to enhancing her natural beauty.
The Ghanaian gospel singer shared her journey of breaking free from these limiting beliefs and embracing a more holistic understanding of Christianity.
When I gave my life to Christ, there were a lot of false doctrines. Apraku My Daughter was a famous pastor by then. So, my church invited him, and when he came, he said that a dwarf took him to a forest where it was revealed to him that ladies’ hair cream is made of blood, the powder is from the ashes of human bones, including make-up products and others, and he made us understand that anyone involved in such things wouldn’t make it to heave.
