In an interview on Property FM, veteran Hiplife star Skrewfaze opened up about his travels and the complexities of balancing family life between Ghana and the United States.
With a sense of sincerity, he clarified, “Oh no, I’ve been travelling since, and so this is not my first time. I’m not in the USA right now to escape the current unbearable economic hardships in Ghana.”
Skrewfaze shared that his family resides in the U.S., which is why he frequently visits. “You know my entire family resides here in the USA, so I normally visit them once in a while and then come back to Ghana,” he explained. However, this time, he is taking a longer break to be present for his loved ones.
One of the key reasons for his visit to the U.S. is particularly special: his daughter’s graduation from the American Air Force.
“The main reason why I’m in the USA currently is that my first child, who is a girl, is in the American Air Force, so I had to be here for her graduation,” he stated proudly.
It’s a significant milestone not just for his daughter but for the entire family, reflecting their shared sacrifices and hard work.
As a father, Skrewfaze is acutely aware of the emotional toll his absences can have on his children. “My kids were complaining of my absence in their lives,” he revealed.
“I reside in Ghana, but my wife and kids are in America, so anytime there is a school program, it’s only their mother that represents,” he explained.
This situation, he noted, can be burdensome for his wife, who is also balancing her job while attending to their children’s needs.
