Kwaw Kese has mentioned in a fresh interview that he provided support to Sarkodie during the early stages of his career before he gained prominence.
While it is widely known that Dr Duncan and Da Hammer played significant roles in discovering and nurturing Sarkodie’s talent, Kwaw Kese claims that he also contributed to his career.
During an interview with Abieku Santana on Okay FM, Kwaw Kese revealed that he assisted Sarkodie by arranging studio sessions for him and offering him accommodation in his own house.
However, Kwaw Kese expressed disappointment that despite Sarkodie’s immense success as the biggest rapper in Africa, he has chosen to ignore him and not reciprocate the same level of support.
Tru News Report exclusively monitored the interview, where Kwaw Kese made these statements.
On the same score, Kwaw Kese took a swipe at Sarkodie in a previous social media post shortly after he released his ‘Brag’ song.
A few weeks ago, Sarkodie released a new track that caused quite a stir in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Amid the tension caused by the song between Ghanaian and Nigerian artists, Kwaw Kese took the opportunity to address past issues with Sarkodie.
He pointed out that while he (Kwaw Kese) was thriving and celebrating with champagne, Sarkodie was still relatively unknown and drinking Fanta.
The message in the post advised him to refrain from boasting about his position in the music industry.
Nevertheless, a Sarkodie fan who saw the post criticized Kwaw Kese for disrespecting Sarkodie by calling him names like mama ba and gangster.
The supporter claimed that despite the insults, Kwaw Kese had actually asked Sarkodie for collaboration, and when Sarkodie declined, Kwaw Kese harboured resentment towards him.
