The long-standing rivalry between Ghanaian musician Sista Afia and actress-turned-musician Efia Odo has been reignited, as Sista Afia addressed the beef during an appearance on a popular podcast.

During a conversation on the Girls Aloud podcast, Sista Afia revealed that the beef began after she performed with Shatta Wale at a concert in London.

According to the musician, Efia Odo was upset by the collaboration, and soon after, she became the first to take a shot at Sista Afia. “After I performed with Shatta Wale, Efia Odo wasn’t happy about it. She was the first to throw a shot at me, and it’s been on ever since,” Sista Afia explained.

The feud between the two has been a topic of public discussion for some time, often fueled by subtle jabs and social media exchanges.

Efia Odo, who is also known for her outspoken nature, had previously made comments about Sista Afia that some interpreted as digs. For Sista Afia, the incident in London was the catalyst that sparked the ongoing rivalry.

However, during the podcast, the musician also took a moment to apologize for some of her past comments.

She admitted to having insulted Efia Odo in the heat of the moment, including calling her an “industry machine.” While she acknowledged her harsh words, Sista Afia made it clear that her apology didn’t mean the beef was over.

“I’m sorry for some of the insults I threw her way, especially calling her an industry machine,” Sista Afia said. “But at the same time, let’s not forget that I still have my own accomplishments.”

The conversation quickly shifted to Sista Afia’s business ventures, where she once again took a shot at Efia Odo.

“I own all my businesses 100%. I don’t engage in 30% or 40% ownership,” she said, referencing the ongoing controversy surrounding Odo’s involvement in the East Legon restaurant saga.
