Diana Asamoah recently revealed to Mzgee on UTV that she considered taking legal action against Mr Drew for using her name in his hit song Dw3, which featured Sarkodie and Krymi.
She mentioned that Mr Drew and the producer, Kaywa, intentionally used her name, assuming she would engage in a public dispute, thus boosting the song’s popularity.
Diana Asamoah said she was initially upset about the situation and contemplated suing Mr Drew.
However, Diana said her manager advised against it, suggesting that Mr Drew could argue in court that he was referring to a different Diana Asamoah.
Despite Kaywa’s admission that she was indeed the inspiration for the song, legal action was discouraged by her team.
Diana Asamoah eventually decided to reconcile with Mr Drew and even collaborated on a song together, which has yet to be released.
Regarding this, Mr Drew discussed his admiration for Diana Asamoah and their joint song, which they had worked on the previous year, during an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz at Hitz FM in 2022.
“We have already made a song together we did it last year and it will come out soon,” he revealed.
Mr. Drew spoke about the first time he met the gospel artiste and added that he enjoys being in her company because she is fun to be with.
“I like worrying her, she is a very calm, bubbly and a fun person and she has no problem with me using her name in most of my songs,” he said.
