Medikal has publicly addressed his absence at Kofi Kinaata’s much-anticipated Made In Tadi show, offering a heartfelt apology and a pledge to make amends.
The former AMG subscriber expressed regret over his inability to attend the event, which has led to tension between the two artists.
“I’m sorry, Kofi Kinaata. The people of Takoradi, you know I love you, and next year we will do it better,” Medikal said while performing at his own concert in Accra, acknowledging the disappointment his absence may have caused.
The Made In Tadi show, a celebrated annual event showcasing Takoradi’s culture and music, has become a significant highlight on Ghana’s entertainment calendar.
Kinaata’s effort to spotlight the Western Region’s talent has garnered widespread admiration, making Medikal’s absence even more notable.

Medikal explained that his absence wasn’t due to neglect but because of another pressing commitment. “If Kofi Kinaata is listening to me, tell him next year I will show up for him.
“I had to attend to an equally important issue hence my inability to show up for his show,” he explained. Despite this explanation, it appears the incident has impacted their relationship, with Kinaata reportedly unfollowing Medikal on social media.
“I saw that he had unfollowed me, but for me, I know he is in his feelings. After a while, he will follow me back,” Medikal remarked, adding that he understands Kinaata’s frustration.
However, he reassured fans that his admiration and respect for Kinaata remain intact. “I love Kofi Kinaata, and I will not unfollow him,” he added.
The rapper also urged Kinaata to avoid being overly sentimental about the situation, reiterating his commitment to repair their friendship and make it up to the people of Takoradi. “Next year, I will show up and make it better,” he promised.
