Okyeame Kwame has humbly mentioned that he may have been the one to introduce tongue-twisting into the rap game and Ghanaian music in general during an interview on 3FM with Blakk Rasta and monitored by GhanaStreetJournal.
The veteran rapper stated that he is not aware of any other pioneers in that rap genre, but he believes he started doing it long before Sarkodie perfected it years later.
He mentioned that his friend Lord Kenya can confirm this, as he was already experimenting with tongue-twisting as far back as 1994.
Okyeame Kwame gave credit to Sarkodie for improving and popularizing it. During the interview, Okyeame Kwame showcased his tongue-twisting skills with a freestyle that impressed Blakk Rasta.
The veteran rapper also commended Sarkodie, acknowledging him as the biggest rap icon on the African continent. This new development has illuminated the entertainment news landscape.
