Yvonne Nelson has addressed questions regarding her acting career, particularly whether she has stepped away from the profession.
Currently pregnant with her second child, Yvonne Nelson has not appeared on screen for some time.
During an interview with a journalist from Joy Prime at the launch of her new school, she confirmed that she has indeed decided to leave acting, despite her absence from recent film projects.
Nelson explained that she is focusing her efforts on her educational initiatives.
She clarified that the newly launched school is not her only institution; it is the latest addition to her portfolio, which also includes early childhood education.
“No, I haven’t quit acting, I have just taken a break, and I am putting more energy into this [her schools]. This is not my only school. This is actually the newest school. We have the early years, the daycare, and Just Like Mama Daycare.
“So, I have been combining here and there and it is too stressful. We have been building this place and it is hard, although it is just the ground floor. This is just the first phase, but I have been so busy and it’s just overshadowed acting,” the actress said in an interview published on the X page of Joy 99.7FM.
The actress was recently in the news after she hinted that she may be releasing part two of her memoir and best seller, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.’
“The love from people who get it! The hate from those who never read it! The arguments and debates from those who aren’t as bold and the judgments from those with dirtier secrets… I sat back, observed, and said to myself, our society needs more truth; it is drowning in lies. Part 2? Let’s see.”
