Kofi Kinaata’s exceptional lyrical talent, which resonates deeply with the older demographic, has once again gained attention following an endorsement from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during his address at the General Conference of the Ghana Bar Association.

In his remarks, the Ashanti Kingdom referenced Kinaata’s song ‘Obi Nya Waye’ from the hit track ‘Susuka’ to underscore Ghana’s admirable reputation among other nations, particularly regarding its peace, stability, and various advantages that set it apart.

He pointed out that despite the challenges faced by the nation, many countries look up to Ghana as a model, encouraging citizens to contemplate the profound messages conveyed in Kofi Kinaata’s lyrics.

He stated that the wisdom of musicians like Kofi Kinaata is remarkable. The Asantehene remarked, “I can think of many countries that look up to Ghana and wish they were just like us.

“Sometimes listen to the wisdom of our musicians and reflect on a piece like Kofi Kinaata’s ‘Obi Nya Waye,’ which means ‘Someone wishes they were like you.”

The video featuring Otumfuo’s message captured the attention of the rapper and singer when it was circulated on social media.

He subsequently shared the content on his Twitter page, appreciating the significant privilege and the positive influence it has brought to his brand.

Sharing the video, Kofi Kinaata wrote “Auntie Ama eeiii… I have made it!! #KofiOOKofi.”
