I Have Had Nothing to Do with These Men – Maame Serwaa Dismisses Romance Rumours

Kumawood actress Maame Serwaa has dismissed speculations linking her romantically to entertainment figures Bill Asamoah, Frank Naro, and Awal Mohammed.

Speaking on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra 100.5 FM, she made it clear that such claims were baseless.

“Unless you have more names to mention, I have had nothing to do with all these men you’ve mentioned,” she told host Nana Romeo.

Maame Serwaa attributed the rumours to misconceptions about male-female friendships in the industry, explaining that Ghanaians often misinterpret cordial working relationships.

“If you work and you are not friendly or do not smile, you’ll have problems with people. Ghanaians don’t like to see men and women become friends,” she stated.

She emphasized that her interactions with the mentioned personalities were strictly professional, adding, “All these seniors you’ve mentioned, I only work with them.

“Even if we’re not in the same field, we’re all in the same entertainment industry. When you meet your people, you [must] get close and be friendly. It’s nothing bad.”

Regarding her personal life, Maame Serwaa insisted that she keeps control over the information she shares.

“If I don’t want you to know, you wouldn’t,” she said firmly. “If I do not put such information out myself, please, it’s a lie.”

Despite addressing the rumours, the actress noted that she had no ill feelings toward bloggers, acknowledging their role in the media industry. However, she urged them to be responsible with their reporting.

“Verify your information before you put it out there,” she advised.

Confirming her relationship status, she revealed that she is currently dating but chooses to keep details private.

“I made it public recently that I’m dating. Anyone I’ve dated is private to me. But this time around, I felt, you know what, it’s not [necessarily] a secret, but it’s a private thing to me.

“I’ll let you know what I want you to know, but it doesn’t mean I won’t date or see people. I do that—we’re all human. But I’ll let you know what I want you to know. Yeah, I’m in a relationship,” she disclosed.

Maame Serwaa’s comments reaffirm her stance on maintaining boundaries between her personal and public life, ensuring that she remains in charge of her own narrative.
