Ghanaian Kumawood actor Abraham Kofi Davis, popularly known as Salinko, recently shared the deeply personal journey he went through after the end of his marriage to his ex-wife, Nancy Owusu.
In a sober reflection, Salinko opened up about the challenges he faced and how, even amidst the turmoil, he found a new path forward in both his life and relationships.
“When my marriage came to an end, I was facing a lot of issues,” Salinko recounted. The actor revealed that he had entered his marriage already struggling financially, dealing with bankruptcy, and shortly after, he suffered the heartbreaking loss of his father.
“I had no one to discuss my issues with except my maker,” he shared, emphasizing how isolating the experience was and how much he relied on his faith during that period.

During this challenging time, Salinko took a trip to visit his sister in London. From there, he had plans to travel to the United States for a meeting, but to his disappointment, his visa application was denied.
Feeling lost and burdened, he attempted to get a refund on his plane ticket to return to Ghana, only to be told he would need to pay for it himself. “That was how Obaa Yaa came into the picture,” he said, referring to a friend who offered support during this low point in his life.
As Salinko began to come to terms with the end of his marriage, he slowly opened himself up to the idea of finding love again.
He candidly shared that he was exploring new connections and was in the “talking stage” with three different women, including his current wife, Lydia Arthur.
“One day, as I was going through my phone, I realized my marriage with Nancy had indeed ended, and she left without understanding what I had gone through,” Salinko reflected. This realization was a turning point, leading him to reconsider his options and to reach out to Lydia.
