Renowned media personality and entrepreneur, Bola Ray, has shared the fascinating story behind the name that has become synonymous with excellence in Ghana’s media landscape.
Recounting his childhood experience, he revealed that his nickname came about in a rather unexpected way.
“I came across a pencil one day when I was going for prep in the evening, and I stumbled upon it on the floor. It had the word ‘Bola’ written on it,” he recalled.
Inspired by the word, he decided to incorporate it into his name, blending it with “Ray,” which had already been part of his previous nicknames.
Thus, the moniker “Bola Ray” was born, a name that would later become legendary in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
Beyond just an identity, Bola Ray explained that his name holds deeper significance. “B stands for bold, O for outstanding, L for loving, and A for affable,” he revealed.
