Mark Okraku Mantey has expressed his discomfort regarding the government’s unfulfilled commitment to establish music recording studios.
The former music executive, who now serves as the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, voiced his dissatisfaction as a proponent of this initiative, noting that the government has yet to construct a single recording studio, a promise outlined in the party’s manifesto before they assumed power.
In an interview with TV3’s Jonnie Hughes on the Creative Arts Forum, he highlighted that the government had pledged in its 2020 manifesto to create a state-of-the-art recording studio for artists, allowing musicians to benefit from reduced fees after their recording sessions.
However, this promise remains unfulfilled, and Mark has expressed his disappointment, especially with only three months remaining until the elections.
