Event organiser and politician, Baba Sadiq says he stands by his actions and statements about Stonebwoy and has no regrets about his involvement with the 9-time Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the 2019 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
Stonebwoy has initiated legal proceedings against Sadiq for labelling him a hypocrite who insults people’s wives over the phone when criticized on social media.
Then again Sadiq, who advocated for King Promise to win Artiste of the Year at the 25th TGMAs instead of Stonebwoy, maintains that he has no remorse for his actions, insisting that only when the matter reaches its conclusion will he be able to evaluate it fully and gain a clear perspective on the lessons learned.
As mentioned earlier, Stonebwoy filed a lawsuit in the High Court of Justice on 31 May 2024, seeking an order for Baba Sadiq to delete the offensive tweets and issue an unreserved apology to him.
Furthermore, Stonebwoy is seeking GHS 3 million in damages, citing the harm caused to his reputation. He alleges that Baba Sadiq acted with malicious intent, knowingly spreading false statements to defame Stonebwoy.
