I Don’t Mind Promoting Drugs In My Songs – King Paluta

During a recent interview with Connect FM, King Paluta expressed his perspective as a musician on drugs.

He emphasized that he possesses the ability to create music that discusses drugs, highlighting both their positive and negative aspects.

However, he made it clear that he does not bear responsibility for influencing individuals to smoke or partake in illegal substances.

Instead, he urged authorities to enhance their efforts in preventing the entry of illegal drugs into the country. Paluta argued that if these substances find their way into the country, it will inevitably lead to their abuse by addicts.

Additionally, he expressed curiosity as to why some individuals in Ghana continue to cultivate marijuana despite its illegality.

“I don’t bother putting out lyrics that talks about drugs (marijuana/weed) because I’m not the one who brought them into the country. And when they get into the country, we’ll consume them; we won’t let it go waste.

“There are customs and other authorities checking these things but they still find their way into the country. Ask yourself how that happens. There are even people who cultivate marijuana in this country and nothing is done,” he said.
