In a heartbreaking post on social media, actor Kwame Dzokoto shared the devastating news of the passing of his longtime co-actor, Little Mercy Smith, who tragically passed away on Tuesday evening.

Dzokoto, who worked alongside Little Mercy on the beloved TV series Efiewura, expressed deep sorrow at the loss of someone he considered not only a colleague but a dear friend.

“I have lost my dear on the screen. You fought so well over this health condition, and God knows what’s best for you at this time. Life is like a stage play, and you’ve played your part,” Dzokoto wrote, his words soaked in grief.

Little Mercy Smith, known for her remarkable acting talent and captivating screen presence, had been battling a serious health condition for some time.

According to Dzokoto, despite the challenges, Little Mercy had fought valiantly, with her spirit never wavering.

“She fought so well,” Dzokoto wrote in tribute, acknowledging the strength she displayed throughout her illness.

Dzokoto also revealed that the news of Little Mercy’s passing was particularly difficult to share with Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama.

“I don’t know how to break this story to the president-elect,” Dzokoto wrote.

“I know he will be in shock with this news. He wanted you to overcome it. When he heard the news about your condition, he invested so much in your bills, just for you to survive. We are shattered.”
