Ghanaian rapper Medikal has broken his silence on the events that led to the fallout between him and Nigerian superstar Davido.

In an interview on Hitz FM, Medikal revealed that the disagreement stemmed from his association with fellow Nigerian artist Dammy Krane, who was in the midst of a public beef with Davido at the time.

“I didn’t want to talk about Davido’s issue,” Medikal began, choosing his words carefully. “But the reason we fell out was because of loyalty.

“I had a song with Dammy Krane, and during that time, he was beefing with Davido.”

Medikal explained that Dammy Krane publicly announced their collaboration on social media, which caught Davido’s attention.

The Unavailable hitmaker reached out to Medikal personally to express his disapproval. “Davido hit me up, telling me not to associate with him,” Medikal recalled.

The two artists had shared a close bond before the incident, with Davido frequently visiting Medikal during his trips to Ghana.

Given their friendship, Medikal admitted he felt compelled to act on Davido’s request. “Because we were cool, and he often visited me when he came to Ghana, I cut ties with Dammy Krane,” he revealed.
