Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Ghana’s newly approved Finance Minister, has shared a heartfelt message of gratitude and determination as he takes on the enormous responsibility of steering the country’s economy.
In a Facebook post, he thanked President John Dramani Mahama for the trust placed in him and pledged to serve with unwavering dedication.
“I am deeply humbled and grateful to the Almighty God for this opportunity to serve Ghana in the capacity of Finance Minister.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting me with this enormous responsibility, to Parliament for their confidence and support, and to the people of Ghana for their trust,” he wrote.

Dr. Forson also outlined his goals for the country’s economy, emphasizing his focus on reducing inflation, stabilizing the Cedi, and creating opportunities for all.
“As I assume this high office, I assure all Ghanaians that I am committed to serving with humility, integrity, diligence, and transparency. Together, we will work to bring down inflation, stabilize the Cedi, create jobs, foster inclusive growth, and create opportunities for all Ghanaians,” he assured.
Highlighting Ghana’s potential for economic partnerships, he reiterated the nation’s readiness to welcome investments.
“Let me emphasize that Ghana is open for business. We welcome partnerships and investments that will drive sustainable development and prosperity for all,” he added.
The newly appointed minister concluded his message on an optimistic note, calling for unity and resilience.
“With unity, resilience, and hard work, I believe we can achieve great things for our beloved country. Thank you, and may God continue to bless our homeland Ghana and make our nation great and strong,” he said.
