Eno Barony has revealed that the significant expectations from her fans, as one of the few prominent female rappers in the industry, serve as a driving force for her ambitions.
In a recent interview with Amansan Krakye, she discussed her sustained relevance and consistency in the music scene since her mainstream debut a decade ago.
Having recently been recognized by Graphic Showbiz as one of the greatest rappers of all time in Ghana, Eno Barony acknowledged that her fans anticipate her to maintain her current trajectory, motivating her to persist in her efforts to create a lasting legacy.
She told Amansan Krakye in an interview “From the unset I had a vision of what I wanted to achieve in life and even when I feel discouraged I would look back and remember the reason why I started in the first place.
“And it’s like life itself is a journey so I don’t have to give up and I have to keep going so when I’m going and I get lost along the way I come back to continue my journey,” she added.
“That has been my secret so I just work hard and the fans keep wanting more from me and I can’t let my fans down because someone who doesn’t know you from anywhere just loves you just because of the voice you use.
“If the fans feel that this girl can make me happy then I don’t have to disappoint them so that’s what keeps me going for the past ten years in the Guana music space,” she disclosed on the show.
GhanaStreetJournal previously shared Eno Barony’s reaction to Graphic Showbiz’s Greatest Rappers of All Time (GOAT) list.
She emphasized that she has worked hard in the industry, despite her relatively short time in the mainstream spotlight.
In her conversation with Amansan Krakye on Property FM, she stated that she believes her tenth position on the list is a testament to her deserving recognition.
Eno further stressed her significant contribution to the genre’s sustainability and her own reputation, highlighting her skill and talent.
Her remarks were in response to the recent compilation of the greatest rappers of all time by Graphic Showbiz, a subsidiary of Graphic Communication Group Limited, which included her name among the elites.
