Okyeame Kwame has shed light on his prolonged feud with Obrafuor, disclosing how his wife, who is part of his management team, prevented him from attacking Obrafuor.
In an interview with celebrity blogger Zionfelix, Okyeame Kwame mentioned the importance of having a team that can positively influence an artist’s decisions.
He acknowledged that if he had released that diss track, he might not have achieved the same level of relevance he enjoys today.
This revelation follows Obrafuor’s controversial song ‘Kasiebo,’ which featured the up-and-coming artist Guru in 2009.
The success of the track propelled Guru to new heights, establishing him as one of the most commercially successful artists in the years to come.

‘Kasiebo’ took jabs at both Okyeame Kwame and Obuor, Obrafuor emphasized in the song that Hiplife is still alive and thriving, thanks to its dynamism and evolution.
Obrafuor’s song was inspired by a track by Obuor, featuring Okyeame Kwame and Richie, titled ‘Killing the Game.’
Speaking on the subject after many years and triggering a new conversation around the entertainment news landscape, Okyeame Kwame said;
“I was shocked when I heard the song on the radio. I had spoken to Obrafour and he never mentioned it to me. I thought he should have even given me a heads-up,” he said.
He shared his thoughts on how his wife intervened to halt the confrontation.
“I had an exercise book full of diss lines I wanted to use in replying to Obrafuor but my management at that time, especially my wife will not allow me.
“You have not made a song about Nkrumah, you’ve not made a song about your father so why will you go to the studio to record a song about one person?
“Sometimes the people around you should be able to help you make the best decisions. I am sure if I had recorded that diss song maybe I wouldn’t be as relevant as I am now. It may be the saddest highlight of my career.
“The fact that I didn’t diss Obrafour made a lot of forward-positive thinking people see me in a good light,” he said.
