How David Oscar Tried To Destroy Me – DKB Recounts

Derick Kobina Bonney, alias DKB, has revealed the truth about his fallout with colleague David Oscar, who he claimed he put in much effort to solidify his mainstream relevance.

On Joy Prime’s morning show, the Ghanaian comedian claimed that despite his efforts and the weight he put behind others’ professional success, he had only received a spoonful of bitter praise that was laced with treachery.

DKB recounted how David Oscar did everything to destroy his career despite the enormous effort he put in to make him a household name in the industry.

“People I helped become who they are by God’s grace connived to bring me down. The most painful one was David Oscar. I behaved like a soldier, stood behind him, fought Charterhouse so aggressively, and made Charterhouse my enemy, of which I didn’t care, only for David Oscar to later turn against me because I made him fight Charterhouse. It was painful,”

DKB further stated that David Oscar intended to ruin his career by demonizing him in the public eye “He moved from one radio station to another, wanting to demonize and destroy me, even though Oscar was not my biological brother, I loved him and treated him as such”

Caroline Mensah and Harry Jerry Bonney, both Ga-Adangbe people of Ghana, gave birth to DKB Ghana on September 3, 1985, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, the country’s capital.

He continued his schooling at St. John’s Grammar School in Ghana after finishing middle school in 2001, where he began to develop a liking for entertainment and progressively established himself as a regular dance and rap performer during entertainment programs.

He was admitted to the University of Ghana in 2005, and after establishing himself at a university event, his genuine interest in stand-up comedy began to take root there.
