The recent online activity of Chioma Adeleke, the wife of Davido has stirred emotional responses, as a noticeable change was observed on her official Instagram profile.

In a poignant gesture to mark the second anniversary of her son Ifeanyi Adeleke’s tragic death, she updated her profile picture to one of her late children.

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of Nigerian music star Davido and Chioma, tragically passed away on October 31, 2022, due to drowning in his father’s swimming pool at their Banana Island residence in Lagos.

The three-year-old was underwater for an unspecified period before being discovered. The incident occurred just a few days after his third birthday.

Following Ifeanyi’s death, the family faced immense grief and scrutiny. Davido and his partner, Chioma, largely remained silent about the incident, with their only public communication coming from a UK-based pastor who mentioned that Davido was getting stronger.

The police conducted an autopsy and detained Ifeanyi’s nanny and cook for further questioning, though they were later released.

Despite the tragedy, the family has found some solace in the birth of twins—a boy and a girl—bringing new joy and hope to their lives. However, the pain of losing Ifeanyi continues to be deeply felt by his parents and those who knew him.
