During their three-day trip to the West African country, Meghan expressed that delving into her heritage has been a truly enlightening experience.
On Saturday, the duke and duchess made a stop at a volleyball court, where Prince Harry actively participated in an exhibition game of sitting volleyball alongside Nigerian athletes.
Additionally, on the initial day of their visit, Harry and Meghan emphasized the importance of discussing mental health with schoolchildren, reassuring them that there is no shame in doing so.
The couple’s invitation to Nigeria came from the chief of the defence staff, and their presence also aims to promote the duke’s Invictus Games, which organizes sporting events for veterans and military personnel who have been wounded, sick, or injured.
This visit marks the Sussex royals’ first trip to Africa since 2019 when they visited South Africa, Malawi, Angola, and Botswana during their final official visit as working members of the royal family.
