Musician and social media commentator Showboy, who was recently released from prison in the US, has made some shocking accusations against Stonebwoy in a trending video.
According to Showboy, Stonebwoy manipulated him into dissing Shatta Wale, labelling the dancehall artist as “fake” and “like a snake in the grass.”
“He asked us to diss Shatta Wale for him. The ‘Biegya’ song isn’t for Criss Waddle; it’s for Stonebwoy.
“He came up with the whole idea because he wanted us to disrespect Shatta Wale, and we did. I regret letting him use me to fight his battle against the Shatta Movement,” Showboy revealed.
Adding to his frustration, he expressed disappointment over Stonebwoy’s lack of support during his time in prison.
“When I was in prison, Stonebwoy didn’t even post about Free Showboy or reach out to me. If he tries anything, I’ll give him a serious slap,” he warned.
Showboy’s feud with Shatta Wale dates back several years and stems from the rivalry between Shatta Wale and Criss Waddle, Showboy’s close associate.
Showboy, a member of Criss Waddle’s AMG Business group, got involved in the beef between Shatta Wale and Waddle, which escalated in 2016.
The feud reached its peak when Showboy was seen as a vocal critic of Shatta Wale, making numerous derogatory statements against him on social media.
One major incident in the conflict was the controversy surrounding the song “Biegya,” which both Shatta Wale and Criss Waddle released around the same time.
The similar title led to accusations that one copied the other. Showboy was highly critical of Shatta Wale during this period, fueling tensions between the camps.
